I'm 5'8" and 140 lbs. Based on the reviews that this runs large and the First Lite description that this would fit over cold weather gear I ordered a Small, which was my size per the FL sizing chart measurements of arm length and chest. The fit was fine over a long-sleeved shirt, but was too tight in the arms when I put it over my late-season gear for bowhunting in Maine. I returned the Small and ordered 2 sizes up (Large), which allows for full freedom of movement for drawing my bow while wearing the cold weather gear I would wear for temps in the 20's and low 30's, but it will also be fine for early season hunts.
I got this for spring turkey Hunting in PA and I was not disappointed at all. I have had other leafy tops before but this one takes the crown. It’s durable, very lightweight, and doesn’t catch on the brush as much as other similar products. It also does a very good job of breaking up the human silhouette. I had hens come in to about 5 yards. I was even able to harvest a Tom later in the season!
Really enjoying this jacket throughout spring turkey season. It's breathable and really helps take a hide to the next level. It also does a nice job of keeping bugs off on the muggier days. I read some reviews before ordering about it running large, and am glad I did. I ordered a medium instead of the usual large. It fits great with just a t-shirt on hot days, but also leaves me with plenty of room to wear a hoodie or jacket underneath. The cinch around the wrists is a nice bonus to keep the sleeves stay in place. Can't wait to try some ground hunting with this product for early deer season.
Bought this for hunting turkeys in SE Georgia where the weather is hot and humid. This piece is very breathable and works great for breaking up you're outline. It is made of synthetics so it does start to stink after a few days of wearing it but that's not an issue in turkey season.
Despite the fact I need to lose 20lbs, jacket still fits great in a size L. As an outer layer, it fits over my insulated jacket without issue. I was skeptical on sizing (I need XL in other brands), but the sizing chart was accurate. I have long arms and the sleeves make it to my wrists. Pattern & leaf looks good, I'm excited to use for Spring turkey.
Very well made leafy suit with lots of texture.
It does run a bit large.
The Fusion pattern is darker than it appears in photos so I may add some lighter materials.
Overall it appears better made than the other leafy suits that I’ve seen.
Seems like good quality and will definitely help conceal the human profile. Does run large IMO. I ordered a Large and I am 5'10" 200lbs and have more than enough room to wear my Woodbury jacket underneath. I would not necessarily order a size down unless you are in-between sizes.
If you literally want to disappear while hunting gobblers or archery hunting whitetail, slip this leafy shirt on. It's practically weightless. It's breathable. You become invisible. Take it slow on the zipper tho, it does have leafy fabric hanging about. Can we get some pants?
I use this for spring gobbler and it is a real problem solver. No matter the temps or weather, I can throw this on over whatever I'm wearing and immediately blend in without having to buy a dozen shirts or jackets.
Used this jacket along with the corresponding balaclava for turkey hunting this spring. Called in a tom to 20 yards and two hens to 3 yards!!! while I was sitting on the ground with no blind and was not spotted. Super lightweight and I am convinced makes you invisible! The Phantom jacket and balaclava are now the only cammo I will ever wear for spring turkey.
