The general season in NW Montana can get pretty cold! Since buying and starting to use the furnaces, my outlook on cold has changed. These are not an in-between pair of long Johns, if it is COLD, put them on. If you read the weather wrong and it warms up, you’ll overheat in these things. I looked forward to coming back to the cabin from a day of hunting when it was too warm to wear them in the field and so that I could wear them in the cabin while the fire got rolling. They are extremely comfortable. Just don’t forget to take them off before you climb in your sleeping bag and fall asleep, you’ll wake up overheating!
I bought these to use in the late fall, but I ended up using them all the way though to the late season. They are a great fit and amazing at keeping temp, never got too hot walking out to the stand but always kept me warm while sitting.
Great pair of long johns. Comfortable and warm.
It's literally like wearing pajamas in the woods! At 55 degrees our battery died on the golf cart I started sweating as I was pushing. so I took my outer wear off and was just in my furnace outfit I had a 2 mile hike to the truck but every step I took the furnace was cooling my body down regulating my temperature these are truly unbelievable!!!
Thoroughly impressed with these bottoms and matching furnace quarter zip. For my full review and more info on fitment, head over to the quarter zip furnace reviews!
