This hat has a great fit there isn’t a big ball on the top like most hats these days. Hat is really comfortable and I haven’t had any problems with it. Considering buying another in a different color I like it so much.
The only complaint is it is just a little small for my big ole head. Other than that, It looks great and does the job. It also works well with the First Lite Merino beanie on top.
This hat fits perfect! Haven’t had any trouble with the buckle like other reviews have shown. It’s a great ball cap. The fusion is Camo is lighter than the rest of the fusion products I’ve ordered but I’m assuming because it’s a different material. I wear it everywhere and is great for all conditions
Not my favorite hat. I bought the Fusion and it was a odd shade of green. i washed it thinking it was just some kind of dye issue. No luck. Bought the Cipher. Same issue. Wore it twice. Leather stinks of tanning chemicals when sweat hits it. the clasp broke. Tossed it and replaced it with the 5 panel. Much better hat. Good side. Great design not a top hat like trucker hats or newer hat designs. Old school fit and feel for smaller heads. 7 1/4 here.
This is kind of an updated review...
Ordered this hat in conifer about 8 months ago. Got it primarily to wear casually around town. Figured I wore it enough now that I can give it a true review.
-It's an attractive ballcap (until it's not - more on that later)
-Embroidered FL logo looks good.
-Like the lower profile fit of the dome.
-Bill comes curved and stays that way.
-Was able to adjust it for my big head without issue.
-The clasp for the leather strap (faux leather?) is cheap and does not hold very well. Can't count how many times the clasp has come undone by itself and the hat starts to flop around my head. I've pretty much given up on it at this point.
-Material stains quickly and doesn't wash out easily - or ever. Kind of a gross looking hat now. And i'm not like an unreasonably sweaty person or anything. Tried several tried and true methods of stain removal but stains and water marks persist.
-Does not breath well. I sort of expected this but it just doesn't breath well. More of a cool weather cap i guess. In the summer will make your dome sweaty.
-This hat is basically sitting in my closet now. Kind of embarassed to wear it around town and the poor clasp has me reaching for other hats when doing work around the yard.
