I've been eying this hat for a while and finally made the choice to pick one up. I was a bit concerned that the hat would not fit my head, which is on the larger side. Thankfully, it fits perfectly . I'm excited for the weather to cool down in texas and get to wear it both casually around the fire pit as well as in the field.
I have really long hair so I went with a large so I can tie up my locks and cover them under the beanie in hopes of some scent control. With, or without, tying up my hair this beanie fits great and has wonderful temperature control
This beanie is fantastic! Super comfortable, the brim is just the right size, and it keeps you warm without being too hot when the temps get up into the 60s and low 70s.
I bought this hat specifically for small game, waterfowl and turkey hunting. The brim had been great for all those hunts where I’m either moving around or having to deal with the sun. I love this hat and it has become my go to over a traditional beanie. I found it to run a little big; I’m 6’2” and ordered a large; apparently I have a tiny head and had to exchange it for a medium which fits perfect. great hat, highly recommend
Excellent fitting beanie. The micro brim is a great feature for that touch if shade sometimes needed. Covers ears well and dries quickly when soaked.
Love everything about this. No more need for wearing a hat and then layering with a beanie/watch cap. Yes, the camo stretches out somewhat on the brim of the hat but c'mon man that isn't going to make or break your hunt. I ordered a medium, fit great. If you are unsure, simply order both sizes and send one back. Good stretch and perfect weight,
My coconut requires a 7 7/8 hat. I ordered the large and it fits great. It's stretchy so it should fit most of those diverse heads. I'm happy that First Lite has some hat size options....most companies don't. Terrific product.
Great hat. Even on a windy day this keeps you warm and if need be you can always add the merino neck garter and a hood and you'll have great warmth and wind protection. While walking through the woods the hat doesnt catch on anything and the brim keeps the sun out of your eyes and if I do not need the brim I just flip It up out of the way. Keep it up First lite, keep making great products.
I picked up this hat after a friend grabbed one just before our pheasant hunting trip to South Dakota in November. I was skeptical on the design and sizing comments from previous reviews but decided to add this to my Christmas list. I absolutely love this hat and have barely taken it off! For sizing, I normally wear a 7 3/8 in a fitted ball cap and the medium fit my head perfectly. I'd love to try a large to compare. I likely have just the very bottom of my ear lobes exposed but I also have enough room that I can snug it down if I really wanted to cover them up. The brim has been awesome keeping blowing snow off my eyes while walking my dogs on our back trails. I'll buy another. Only comment on the orange is it is VERY dull for "Hunter Orange". I went with a brown colour instead.
