Brad Bever's Spring Turkey Kit

"Chasing turkeys in the midwest can be fast-paced and frustrating, so having a reliable layering system is essential to staying focused. May in the midwest means cold and damp mornings, and afternoons in the 70's. For this reason, I utilize the new Fuse Zip-Off Base Layers and Wick Hoodie. The Aerowool construction of the Wick Hoodie acts as a solid base layer before sun up, and keeps sweat off when we start chasing afternoon gobblers. I also start the day with my favorite piece, the Klamath Hoodie, as my mid-layer, then shed it as temps rise. The Klamath is light, but holds warmth, and has a fitting shooters' cut to help stay fast and mobile. I top off the kit with the Corrugate Guide System. Both Jacket and Pants wick morning dew and rain with a DWR nylon, and fight off brush and briars when stalking birds. The four-way stretch in the Corrugate system is key to staying mobile. Aerowool gloves and the Neck Gaiter add lightweight concealment, and suspenders keep everything in place (if you need additional concealment, reach for the Phantom Leafy Suit and Balaclava). Add a classic trucker hat, and I have a turkey kit that keeps me comfortable from dawn to dusk."  - Brad Bever, First Lite Pro Team Member
