Primary Use: Pig and Deer hunting

I have this in the short sleeve version, but wanted something in the long sleeve for when I have to make my way through some California thickets. It did get snagged and ripped, but nothing that I couldn't repair in the field. Kept me warm during the cold California morning and dry when the sun came up. I did not feel like I was overheating in this long sleeve at all.

I use it all year

I film/photograph hunting for a living and need minimal amounts of gear that cover a large range of conditions. I use the crew all year long when Im layering under more insulated pieces that already have hoods. Ive used this piece on 90 degree turkey hunts, October elk hunts and late December whitetail hunts

Finest Lightweight LS T

I have tried most brands of lightweight long sleeve T's from Minus 33, Smartwool, Icebreaker and the quality of First Lite is unmatched. Just looking at and feeling the weave on this shirt i believe it will be much more durable than the others I have had which usually wear through the elbows and have small holes withing a couple of years. Added bonus are the long sleeves with thumb holes. My only recommendation would be to remove or minimize the branding on the exterior. Will definitely purchase more.

upgrade for base layer

I've been using my army issued polyester base layers for bow hunting until this year when I finally decided to upgrade my gear. I'm very happy with this investment. Not only is the quality of the materials top notch, the construction of the garment it self looks to be fairly durable. I hope to be able to use these base layers for years to come.

Solid base layer

So far i'm loving the wool baselayers. This is my first foray into merino wool baselayers, after years of using synthetics, its nice to finally experiment a little. I can already see advantages and disadvantages to both fabrics, however the comfort that these first lite pieces provide is unparalleled. These pieces feel like what you wish your everyday basics felt like.

Amazing next to skin!

Using wool as a wicking next to skin layer here in the south where it’s 75 degrees today may seem counterintuitive but it simply works. I hunt Southeast Virginia and Northeast North Carolina mostly and frankly it’s hot most of bow season down here. Even with a slight 4-5mph breeze in this heat I’m cool, frankly it works so well I actually feel slightly chilly like I want a vest on or something haha. Very light weight and packs down extremely small so it takes up zero extra room in a pack.

Great base layer for earlier season hunts

Very light, athletic fitting shirt with great odour control and breathability, dries quickly. Don't even realize you have it on. I like this shirt because it compliments a layering system incredibly well. Early morning, great base layer. Too the warmer times as the day progresses as a durable outer layer. For myself, sleeves a bit long but extremely satisfied with product.

Great Early Season Shirt

I really like my Crew LS Wick. Great early season shirt. This shirt has made several trips to the woods in hot weather. Once in the saddle the LS Wick breaths extremely well and dries fast. I've also done some stocking with this shirt through all types of thickets and it has held up great.
