This thing is awesome, it was a little tight under my ATV helmet but that was expected with all the wool on the inside, kept me very warm and comfortable even at high speeds and the thin fabric around the ears is great for hearing and doesn't let them get cold either, only thing I would change is the mouth area is covered with just merino fabric to allow you to breath and call which is great, but it extends all the way down the full length of the mask, I would change that and have the fabric go down to your chin and then below have the wool again to keep your neck warm. Other then that its a great piece of kit and I highly recommend it!
I was a little unsure if I would like the liner but there is no liner around the mouth and ears and it is very comfortable on cold days. Hands down the warmest balaclava I have used. It does well blocking the wind too and the openings around the ears are a nice touch.
This is the best balaclava I've ever owned. Soft and quiet and super warm. I own a lot of hunting gear and hate being cold... This might be my favorite piece of equipment I take in the backcountry.
This hat might be my favorite first lite product if it was offered in large. I have a big head and an even bigger chin. I can get this mask over my head and I like the warmth and thickness of it. It's made for normal sized heads and the fabric across my face is stretched to the max.
This is a great addition to my cold weather hunting gear. You can feel the difference immediately when put on. Thoughtful design, thicker top and back thinner in the front and around the ears allowing you the hear better. Love it!
