Men's Brooks Down Sweater

800 FILL 37.5 ACTIVE DOWN

$265.00 USD

Color/PatternDry Earth

The Brooks Down Sweater is engineered to fit close to the body for insulating purposes. Please be aware of this and size up one size if you feel you are in between sizes.

At 10.9 ounces, the Brooks Down Sweater is the definition of ultralight, highly packable backcountry insulation. Built with 100 grams of DWR-treated, 800-fill power, 37.5-DownTek, the Brooks provides advanced, active insulation that fights off moisture to keep both you and your down insulation warm, dry, and comfortable.

When you're miles into the backcountry, weight is key but not at the expense of your insulation that keeps you warm and protected. With that at the forefront of our minds, the Brooks was designed using 50% more down than its closest competitor to be the lightest weight possible while ensuring best-in-class warmth. The Brooks Down Sweater features a drop-tail hem for critical coverage when glassing, and an ultralight Turret hood design that can be operated with one hand to lock in heat while maintaining full field-of-view. Whether you are packing into the high Tundra for caribou in August or climbing southwestern Sky Islands for Coues deer in January, the Brooks Down Sweater is the trusted choice to guarantee your warmth while maintaining durability in the field.

AMAZING puffer jacket!

I bought this jacket at the PA outdoors show and having been living in it since! I’m a female 6ft 154 athletic build - I chose the men’s over the women’s because I have a long torso and the men’s brooks had the length I need. I’ve worn it under my sanctuary jacket on really cold days and layered it under my fly fishing rain coat while fishing. This thing is like a furnace!!! Also super light weight and VERY easy to pack up into a small bag when you’re not using it. Highly recommend if you want maximum warmth in minimal size

WORTH

This was the 2nd piece of gear I've purchased from First Lite and it was WORTH it! I immediately put it to the test hunting several days in the north Idaho panhandle during some sub 20 degree tree stand sits and mountain hunts. I was honestly impressed with how warm i was in this thin, extremely packable outer layer. I brought it with me to Kodiak island, AK in Dec 2019 and it performed fairly well in the 30 degree/20+mph winds. I went thru alot of thick underbrush and I'm surprised don't have any snags/tears in it yet.

Awesome jacket!

I love this jacket. I can’t believe how warm it is for how light it is. Size up for a good fit. The XL for me perfect. Shooters cut feels awesome no binding anywhere in the jacket. 100 percent recommend this jacket.

Multi-Purpose

Probably the best damn jacket I own. I've stood outside in 20 degree weather with nothing more than a t-shirt on underneath, and have been comfortable. I wear it around town, and out and about as well. I'll probably end up having to buy another so that I can dedicate one to my hunting gear, and have one for hanging out. I wouldn't wear it in a downpour without a shell over it, but it is resistant to snow and water for a good while. It works well in light precipitation.
