Ordered 2 of these anticipating a warm archery season....love them!! I sized up and glad I did, usually a small, but the medium fit perfect as I didn't want them super fitted. I can't wait to give these a go in the field! I got both camo colors to coordinate with my Alturas pants. Also will use in colder months as a base layer.
Super comfortable, wonderful fit and feel, breathable in the heat, and NO stink! I definitely want more and agree it would be amazing to have it available in more neutral colors: black, sage, the beautiful silver gray the boys get. Just give us more!
I friggin' LOVE this thing. Fit is perfect. Soft, not binding, it's body skimming, but not in an uncomfortable or binding way. It breathes like a dream, even in the hot summer weather, and doesn't hold an odor, so it can be worn multiple times in a row without a wash. It dries super quick so if you did want to give it a dip in the lake or sink, you could hang it to dry and put it back on a few hours later. I wore it as my first layer for turkey season and have been wearing on hot summer hikes/scouting missions/3D shoots. I love to wear it to the gym/working out too, so I'd love it if FL made some other non-camo-neutral colors too like tan/coyote brown, black or ash grey, or even that beautiful sage color that my (old) Artemis hoody comes in. I've been a big fan of merino wool for my outdoor pursuits for some time and the pieces that FL makes are all outstanding. I greatly appreciate their expansion of the women's line this year with this tank and the corresponding T-shirt. Also on my First Lite wish list? A women's merino wool sports bra. This little tank breathes so well and keeps me dry, it's a shame to have to use it with a stinky, holds-moisture-synthetic sports bra underneath.
Initially, I bought this for backcountry trips in warmer weather but it has quickly turned into an everyday piece, whether I wear it alone or layer it under long sleeve shirts. The conifer color is a really nice neutral shade that gives me anonymity in the woods when I don't want to wear camo. I have also begun using it as a baselayer for turkey hunting on those cooler Idaho spring mornings when I want to keep my core warm. I've used it over the course of multiple days hiking/hunting/fishing and even after lots of sweating, it doesn't hold ANY smell. The fit is perfect - it's tight enough that it doesn't ride up but not too tight to feel uncomfortable. I'm glad First Lite now makes tanks and short sleeve shirts for women - I'll be wearing this for many years to come.
