Thanks for all the help with this. I have a chama I bought second hand from a friend and some allegheny pants from Cabelas last year to try as a base layer because i was interested in trying merino wool of which my research pointed to First Lite as the go to brand. I wore it in the spring hunting costal blackbears riding in a skiff on the cold water in alaska with cold air in my face all day, on kodiak island stalking summer blacktail deer in the alpine where it was raining nonstop, August muley's in Colorado in the heat, and then thru the winter here in Missouri for whitetails which was rain, snow, and wind. I put it thru just about every climate in one single year and I absolutly love it and look forward to building my collection. I learned alot about merino wool and specifically first lite real quick.
Just logged ten days hunting the New Zealand high country in these and they still didn't smell. Need I say more? Well, maybe one thing more. They are unbelievably comfortable.Steven Rinella
