The First Lite Springer vest is made from the same fabric as our Labrador full zip sweater. We liked the way the Labrador fit so much that we decided to include a vest style for those days when you need to keep your core warm but want the extra freedom and reduced weight of a vest. The Springer also includes added front pockets.

Over the years, I've accumulated a lot of cotton material camouflage, most of it in ASAT or Predator. I like the large break up patterns, but I always had to bring along 4 or 5 sets of gear for a week long hunt because of sweating during hikes and stalks. I was invited to hunt Elk in Idaho in 2012, so I decided to upgrade my camo to First Lite in ASAT based on the recommendations and reviews by Steve Speck of S & S Archery. I knew I would be out hunting for a week, so I wanted at least 2 sets for the trip, even though Steve has used the same set for a week in a back country hunt. The weather and the Elk were not so hospitable during our hunt, with most days in the 80's and the Elk doing very little talking. My Kanab pants, Llano and Chugach shirts, and the Red Desert boxers were very comfortable and did not ever stink from sweating during our hikes......Everything worked as advertised. I'll be using them during my Muley hunt this October in the ND Badlands......We never know if we will get a week of 80's or the first taste of Winter at that time of year. I did add the Wind River balaclava, neck gaiter, beanie and a couple of pair of the new compression socks to my inventory this year. I'm heading back to Idaho in 2014 for another try at the Elk with my First Lite ASAT......Hopefully we will have a picture to share at the end of the hunt. Thanks for some great products!Cordell, from Bismarck, ND
I have purchased First Lite Merino wool products and they are outstanding. After shopping around for the best quality vs. doller spent, First Lite was the best. When ever I have sent e-mail or called First Lite, they took the time to answer my questions promptly and thoroughly. They spent more time on the phone with me than I expected and they are very passionate about hunting and making GREAT hunting products.Mike from Novi, MI
I am looking forward to seeing the outerwear gear in person, based on the videos, it looks like some great gear with alot of thought, testing and research behind it, especially the North Branch Soft Shell pants. Ever since I have learned about layering and Merino wool, I placed a priority on venting and moisture wicking. These pants look PHENOMENAL.
I trust First Lite because I trust the people running it. The gear I have now works better than they told me it would. I have trust that If I spend $300.00 on a jacket or pant, that I will definitely get $300.00 worth of value.
I can't find enough good things to say about First Lite both the products and the customer service. My passions for the outdoors are similar to the founders of the company from a snowboarding/skiing and hunting background. Having past jobs in the outdoor industry from snowboard instructor, sales manger for a canoe and snowshoe company and retail management I have had my fair share of experience with merino wool products and the benefits of merino. In the past I had to cross over my merino in non-camo versions from my gear arsenal when hunting season came around, not after I discovered First Lite.Bryan from LaCrosse, WI
