As summer approaches, many of us are starting to spend more and more time throwing arrows in the backyard, trying to prepare for the upcoming season. Here's a list of sites with tips and drills to keep your game sharp and your aim sharper.
From our friends at North American Whitetail comes this nifty little article on the importance of both physical and mental fitness required for perfect shooting.

Here's an excellent article written by Brian Grossman at www.biggamehunt.net that covers different aspects of practice like the importance of mixing up your angles, body position and other variables. It's an oldy but a goody and makes some important points about how the big shot in the field is rarely a perfect scenario so practicing the not-so-perfect-scenario makes for a more confident shot.
Tired of simply practicing for the sake of practicing? Try playing some games with a buddy or two. Classic games like HORSE or simply making a few wagers while target shooting can help take the monotonony out of it. Another tip is to leave the measuring tape/range finder inside when you practice in order to improve your natural ability to range effectively when you don't have time in the field.
Finally, I really enjoy this site, www.bowhuntinginfo.com. It's got tips ranging from beginner to accomplished bow hunter and seems to cover the gamut, no matter what you hunt. With specific articles on specific game and all sorts of training tips, it's a nice means of brushing up on your knowledge and maybe learning a few new tricks.
